Mrs Morris and Miss Jordan’s students have been friends with these classes for quite some time and the new 2012 students are enjoying getting to know their blogging buddies.

These classes originally found out about QuadBlogging from Mr. Mitchell.

The QuadBlogging concept: four blogging classes come together and learn about one another one week at a time. The alliance (group of friends) will help each class increase their readership while flattening their classroom walls and learning about the wonderful world we live in.

This week, let’s meet Mrs Yollis’ third graders from California!

Mrs Yollis’ class has prepared a special post to introduce themselves to you.

You will find some great information about blogging and commenting.

Instead of leaving a comment on this post, why not head over to Mrs Yollis’ Classroom Blog and leave a comment for them!

They would love to hear from you.

Remember to mention where you’re from!

Skyping Mrs Yollis’ Class

Mrs Yollis and her third grade class in California are our blogging buddies. Mrs Morris, Miss Jordan and their students have been good friends with Mrs Yollis’ class since 2009.

4KM and 4KJ skyped with Mrs Yollis on the last day of 2011 when they were just meeting their new teachers. Today the students had the chance to skype with Mrs Yollis again and meet her class!

There is a big time difference between California and Victoria. When we started the call it was

8:55am on Wednesday in Leopold, Australia

1:55pm on Tuesday in Los Angeles, USA

Since 4KM and 4KJ are learning about Australia this term they wanted to share some facts with Mrs Yollis’ class, and also find out some information about America.

Seventeen 4KM and 4KJ students had special jobs. The researchers and speakers were Maha, Lachlan, Leah, Brandon, Trent, Maddy, Millie, Skye, Clancy, Olivia and Becky. Adam and Libby were typists. The photographers were Kealee and Sophie. Patrick and Hannah were the greeters.

This is the transcript of answers that Adam typed up. Libby’s transcript got lost!

Please leave a comment and share a fact about Australia or the USA. It might be something you already know or something you learnt on Skype.

Perhaps you could compare some information about the USA and Australia.
