  22. Hi Grade 4 team,
I have enjoyed exploring your blog and reading the responses to my interview with Millie and Trent.
Everyone, and especially the Grade 4 team, has done so much to take away my nerves and at the same time build my excitement about the fantastic conversations and activities we are going to do together.
It is ANZAC day and it is too cold and wet for me to be on my bike, so happily I am on your Blog. I really should be practicing my bike riding, as next weekend I am to go on a 2 day ride (with friends) from Mansfield to Tallarook along a rail trail. Perhaps someone could find out how far I will be riding. There are some fantastic rail trials in Victoria, which makes it safer for all bike riders! I believe that within Leopold we could have a rail trial that goes through the town- Brilliant !
Thank you for responding to my interview โ€“ I loved reading all the comments. A special thank you to the mums, dads and pops for their contributions!!
    When I think of Grade 4, I smile — I wonder why?
    Cheers
    Ms Rollinson

    • Dear Ms Rollinson,

Thank you for commenting on our blog! You must very busy but it is nice of you to drop by! I hope you have enjoyed exploring our blog and seeing what we have been doing!

We have all tried to make you feel welcome and I hope you are feeling welcomed here and we are going to enjoy doing activities and conversations, we are going to have one fun year!

It is very cold and wet that I cannot even ride my bike! I love to ride my bike as much as you do! You must be very excited to be going on a 2 day trip on the rail trail cause I would! I ride on the rail trail a lot and I even heard it goes out to Lara! It is a very safe trail because it is made of concrete and it doesn’t usually go down hill and up hill.

We are very happy to comment on this guest post! I think everyone should be proud at themselves for commenting!

      I do wonder why! ๐Ÿ˜€

      From your friend,

      Maha ( 4KM ) ๐Ÿ˜€

  23. Hello Millie and Trent,

This is a wonderful guest post. It was kind of Ms Rollinson to allow you to interview her.

    Now for your questionsโ€ฆ

Do you have anything in common with Ms Rollinson?

Yes, I think I have things in common with Ms Rollinson. I used to like bike riding and would arrive at school on a bicycle. I even went on a five day, 300km bike ride once but these days I like hiking.
Like Ms Rollinson, Iโ€™ve taught multiple grades. My first school was a one-teacher school. I had from Kindergarten (Prep) to Year 6 in the one room.
My favourite colour is also blue but I have been involved in education for a number of years longer than Ms Rollinson although I was never a principal.

Do you have anything to say thatโ€™s good about our school to Ms Rollinson?

How much could I say in a few words? Since discovering blogging and the ability to write comments on class blogs, Leopold Primary School has become an important part of my life. Now Iโ€™m retired from full time teaching, I miss the daily goings-on of class life but have always felt welcomed by Leopold Primary School, at least in a virtual sense.

Do you have a question for Ms Rollinson?

Questions, no, but I will say Ms Rollinson has taken on the leadership of a wonderful school, staff and students. I hope Ms Rollinson has a wonderful time.

    @RossMannell
    Teacher, NSW, Australia

  24. Dear 4KM and 4KJ,
Hi, Iโ€™m a Fourth Grade Student in New Orleans, Louisiana named Kaitlin.

Sometimes our school does interviews with the staff that most people donโ€™t really know, and they present it in front of the whole Lower School.

You are getting a new principal, and we are getting a new vice principal. Even though we donโ€™t live in the same country we still have a lot in common.

Do you like your new principal?

    Sincerely,
    Kaitlin

  25. Dear 4KM and 4KJ

I think that it was a great idea to interview your new principal. Like Ms Rollinson I like biking and my favourite colour is blue. I donโ€™t know much about your school but what I have seen on your class blog has been really great. I hope your school enjoys having a new principal.

From your blogging buddy in Room 24
    Alexandra

  26. Hi Cam’s mum here, we recognise Ms Rollinson as she used to be the principal of the school Cam’s older brother Corey and older sister Katie went to it’s so nice to have her as principal for a great school like Leopold PS!

  27. Hallo class of 4KJ
Thank goodness you are all participating in bike
education. What a wonderful idea to learn the road rules while riding. You will all be stopping at stop signs and watching for silly drivers who forget about bikes on the road. Dont forget to wear your helmets and have fun at bike education. Bye Bye from Skye’s Aunty Irene xxxx

  28. Cameron Humpage’s Big Sister Here!

    Hi 4KJ and 4KM!
I remember Ms. Rollinson from when I was in primary school (4 years ago). She was my principal at Corio West Primary School!
Every assembly she was also so happy and bright. She is a fantastic principal and Leopold is very lucky to have her as their new principal!
Hoping you are all being angels for her and not causing to much trouble for her!
